Hettie Lee Williams, age 83, of Clay, AL and formerly of Selma, AL, passed away December 7, 2009.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Billy H. Williams; parents, Henry and Ophelia Strickland; brothers, Carl Strickland, Aubrey Strickland and sisters, Flora Stroud, Bill Moore and Polly Stroud.
Surviving are her sons, Jody Williams and Russell (Paula) Williams; daughter, Sherry (Howard) Hadley; brothers, Pete Strickland and Donald Strickland; sisters, Leta Broadhead, Jo Owens, Sandy Little, Eloise Beadlescomb and Dorothy Graves; grandchildren, Mason Williams, Sidney Williams, Scott Williams, Catherine (Williams) Gilmer, Matthew Messenger and Kelly Messenger and great-grandchild, Rebecca Gilmer.
Graveside services will be Thursday, December 10, 2009 at 1:30 p.m. at New Live Oak Cemetery with Rev. Cecil Williamson officiating and Selma Funeral Home directing. The family will receive friends at the funeral home prior to the service from 12-1:00 p.m.
