John W Welch Jr., 46, of Birmingham, died Sunday, Nov. 8, after a brief battle with cancer.
Survivors include his daughter, Danielle Rose Welch of Selma; his father, John W. Welch of College Station, Texas; a brother, Frank Welch, his wife, Mari and their son, John of Woodbridge, Virginia; his step-grandmother, Ruth Welch of Paris, Texas; and Kelley and Nina McDaniel of Selma.
Funeral services include visitation at Southern Heritage Funeral Home in Pelham on Tuesday, Nov. 10, from 5:30 to 7 p.m. followed by services at the funeral home chapel at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 11. He will be buried Saturday at Evergreen Cemetery in Paris, Texas. Welch was operations director of the Dreamland chain of restaurants in Alabama and Georgia.
