Ethel Elaine Vickery, age 62, of Selma, AL, passed away November 9, 2009.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Larry Vickery.
Surviving are her sons, Chad Vickery of Huntsville, AL and Scott (Donna) Vickery of Montgomery, AL; daughter, Lisa (Scott) Bamberg of Sprott, AL; brother, Lee (Doris) Grindle; mother-in-law, Merle Vickery of Pensacola, FL; brother-in-law, Robert (Cynthia) Vickery of Montgomery, AL; grandchildren, Dylan Bamberg, Cailin Bamberg, Laine Vickery, Tyler Vickery, Rhiannon (Kenny) McCroan, Holley (Marc) Solowski of Columbus, GA, and Adam Mad-derra of Montgomery, AL; great-grandson, Dalton McCroan; nieces and nephews, Bridgette Vickery, Doug Vickery, Megan Grindle and Jason Grindle; and great-nephews, Austin Vickery and Cooper Grindle.
Funeral services will be Wednesday, November 11, 2009 at 3:00 p.m. at New Live Oak Cemetery with Rev. Jim Nalls officiating and Selma Funeral Home directing. The family received friends at the funeral home on Tuesday, November 10, 2009 from 6-8:00 p.m.
Pallbearers will be Don Meeks, Doc Meeks, Jason Grindle, Doug Vickery, Dean Smith, Kent Harris and Darren McGilberry. Honorary pall-bearers will be Dr. Jack Burns, Dr. Lofti Bashir, Dr. Samar Assaad, Dr.
Clyde Cox and Dr. Iad Hammad. The family is accepting flowers or memorial donations may be made to UAB Center of Palliative Care, Room 219, CH19, 1530 3rd Avenue, South, Birmingham, AL 35294-2041.
