ALABASTER — Davis Jones rushed 33 times for 362 yards and four touchdowns to lead Meadowview Christian School to a 34-6 season-ending victory over Kingwood Christian School.

The victory ruined homecoming for the Alabaster team.

With the 362-yard performance, Jones ended the season with 1,457 yards, MCS coach Kenny Strong estimated Friday night.

Davis scored on touchdown runs of 12, 62, 47 and 38 yards for the Trojans.

Strong praised his squad’s defense and the team blocking.

“The defense just mauled them tonight,” he said. “And the offensive line was blocking well, and the blocking back opened the holes.”

Strong said Jones has rushed at least 90 yards per game except for the Monroe Academy contest, when he has to sit out.

Daniel Blackmon also scored on a 65-yard toss sweep to complete the Trojans’ scoring.
