Robert Tucker

Robert Fulton Tucker, a resident of Little Rock, Arkansas, went to be with his heavenly Father, Monday, October 5, 2009, at the age of eighty-seven. He was born, July 6, 1922, in Marion, Alabama, the son of Fulton Compton Tucker and Daisy Kynerd Tucker. He married Miss Nellie Marie Singley on September 12, 1942.
Rev. Tucker graduated from Marion High School (AL), earned his Masters Degree from New Orleans Baptist Seminary. He was pastor of the many churches in Mississippi and Arkansas. Mr. Tucker served in the U.S. Army during WWII, before becoming a Baptist minister. He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother: Francis Marion Tucker.
Robert is survived by his loving wife of sixty-seven years: Nellie Tucker of the home, two sons: Dr. Dale (Gail) Tucker of Louisville, Kentucky, Col. (ret) Harold A. (Debbie) Tucker of Little Rock, Arkansas, one sister: Freddie Hugh Wright of Bartow, Florida, five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted, Friday, October 9, 2009, at 10:00 a.m., at the Bethany Baptist Church in Gosnell, Arkansas. Interment will be Monday, at the Arkansas State Veterans Cemetery in North Little Rock, Arkansas. Visitation will be held, Thursday evening from 6 till 8:00 p.m. at the Thompson-Wilson Funeral Home in Wynne, Arkansas. 870-238-9400 www.thompsonwilsonfh.com.
