Vennie Loise Oglesby, 84, of Gallion, Alabama, died September 16, 2009 at her residence. Services are scheduled for Friday, September 18, 2009 at 2:00 PM at Pleasant Valley United Methodist Church officiated by Rev. Don Smith. Burial will follow in Pleasant Valley Cemetery under the direction of Kidd/Robbins Funeral Directors. Visitation will be held Friday, September 18, 2009 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Pleas-ant Valley Church.
She was preceded in death by two grandchildren Shawn Oglesby and Billy Ray Smith.
Survivors include her spouse, Alton Mathew Oglesby of Gallion, AL; three daughters, Frances Smith Spidle of Gallion, AL, Elizbeth (Micky) Oglesby Rayford of Greensboro, AL, and Christine Oglesby of Lebanon, Maine; six sons, Buddy (Pattie) Oglesby of Selma, AL, Nolly (Hilda) Oglesby of Lownesboro, AL, R.C. (Delain) of Valley Grande, AL, Daniel Sherry) Oglesby of Woodstock, GA; Ronald (Pat) Oglesbyy of Valley Grande, AL, and Norman (Diane) Oglesby of Orrville, AL; thirteen grandchildren; twenty-six great grand children.
Pallbearers will be Benny Oglesby, Bobby Oglesby, Paul Oglesby, Jerry Oglesby, Darrien Flowers, and Adam McClellan.
