Elizabeth McCain Langlois, 95, formerly of Selma, died September 10, 2009 in Athens, Ga after a courageous battle with cancer.
Elizabeth was a retired Civil Service employee, having worked in the Finance Department at Craig AFB for 33 years. She graduated from Selma High School and attended business college after graduation.
She was born on October 28, 1912 in Calhoun County to Clarence Sidney McCain and Lillie May Childress McCain.
She was preceded in death by her parents, by her loving husband James who died in 1966, by her brothers Clarence, James, Richard and Sidney and by her sisters Mary Aileen, Mildred, and Sadie.
Survivors include her sons James Alexander and his wife Sandra of Athens, GA, Charles Richard and his wife Carin of Hilliard, Fl, her sister Elenor, grandchildren Christopher, Charles and Rebekkah and numerous nieces, nephews and great-grandchildren Funeral arrangements were handled by Lord and Stephens of Athens, GA. A graveside memorial for family and friends will be held on Monday, September 14 at 10:00 AM at the New Live Oak Cemetery.
