Arland E. Deason, age 93, of Selma, died Monday August 10, 2009 at his home.
He is survived by his wife, Joan Tarleton Deason, daughter, Arlene Deason Johnson and son-in-law, Kent Johnson; brother, Hollis Deason of Georgia and James Deason of Tennessee; grandsons, Bo and Eli Johnson. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday August 12, 2009 at Pineview Memory Gardens with Reverend Winston Brooks officiating and Lawrence Brown-Service Funeral Home directing.
Honorary pallbearers will be Eli Johnson, Bo Johnson, Johnny Averitt, John Powell, Phil Loper, David Loper, Ralph Friday and B.B. Pegues.
