Mabel Fischer, age 82, of Plantersville passed away on Thursday August 6, 2009 at Shelby Baptist Medical Center in Alabaster. Funeral Services will be held on Sunday August 9, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. at Plantersville Baptist Church with Johnny Jones officiating and Lawrence Brown-Service Funeral Home directing.
Mrs. Fischer is survived by her daughter, Becky (Mike) Blair, her son, Tommy (Crystal) Fischer, her grandchildren, Larry Colburn (Rachel), Dale Braun, Cody Blair, Hunter Fischer, and Lyndsay Fischer, her great-granddaughter, Emily Colburn, and her devoted friend, Retha Rush.
Pallbearers will be Larry Colburn, Cody Blair, Hunter Fischer, Larry Jones, Eddie Jones, Don Tullos, and Barry Ousley.
In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorials be made to Plantersville Baptist Church, Jones Baptist Church Cemetery, or The Alabama Baptist Children’s Home. The family will receive friends on Saturday August 8, 2009 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
