Helen “Sue” Bailey, of Birmingham, AL, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on August 4, 2009 at the age of 73 years.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Franklin Hinch Trull and Beulah Sheffield Trull of Pinehill, AL and her daughters, Susie R. Honeycutt and Brenda Carol Little of Selma, AL.
She is survived by her son, Marcus (Connie) Little of Birmingham, AL; step-sons, Jerry (Marlene) Little and Wayne (Shirley) Little of Selma, AL; niece, Melissa Day of Nashville, TN; son-in-law, David Honeycutt of Valley Grande, AL, grandchildren, Jennifer Honeycutt (Donnie) Craig of Valley Grande, AL, Jonathan Honeycutt of Sunnyvale, CA. Brittney (Trey) Bate, Krissy McDonald, Beth McDonald and Brandon Little of Birmingham, AL and numerous family and friends. She was married to Bernard “Bill’ Bailey of Elberton, GA for thirty-five years.
She was born on July 26, 1936 in the community of Pinehill, AL. She lived in the Selma area for over fifty-four years, until she moved to Birmingham, AL to be cared for by her son. She was a resident of Fairview Nursing Home.
Sue, as most people knew her, sold Tupperware for over seventeen years in and around Dallas County. She also worked as Cafeteria Manager for Westend School. She also ran the old Phillip 66 truck stop in Potters Station for many years. She was a member of Westwood Baptist Church in Selma, AL.
Funeral services will be Friday, August 7, 2009 at 1:00 p.m. at Selma Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. George K. Jones, Sr. officiating. Interment will be in New Live Oak Cemetery with Selma Funeral Home directing. The family will receive friends at the funeral home prior to the service from 12-1:00 p.m.
