Mrs. Debra Ragland Hunter, 50, of Selma, Alabama died July 16, 2009 at the Vaughan Regional Medical Center. Services are scheduled for July 22, 2009 at 11:00 AM at the at the New Shady Grove MP Church, Sardis, AL, directed by Miller Funeral Service, Bishop B.A. Scott officiating.
She is preceded in death by parents Julia Mae Ragland and Eddie Carey Ragland; and one sister Demetra Ragland James. Survivors include: Spouse, Charlie L. Hunter; two daughters: Tamika Ragland and Kuawanda Ragland; one brother: William “Bill” Ragland; five sisters: Minister Evelyn Scott, Jeneise Barlow, Sabrina Scott, Rachel Alexander and Ida Marie Wright.
Other relatives include Uncles: John Pearl and Edgar Pearl; Aunts: Patrticia Tolbert and Ann Pearl.The family will receive friends on Tuesday July 21, 2009 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Miller Funeral Chapel, Selma, AL.
