Selma University head baseball coach Raymond Brown has announced the signing of Rashad Simpson of College Park, Ga., to participate in intercollegiate baseball.

Simpson is a 2009 graduate of North Clayton High School, where he was varsity starter in right field for one year. One of Selma University’s speediest recruits, Simpson stole more than 20 bases in his senior season for North Clayton.

“Rashad is the type of student-athlete we are looking to recruit,” Brown said. “He is a solid young man who will represent himself, his family and Selma University with dignity.”
