Ms. Jonnie M. Jefferson, 57, of Selma, Alabama died June 23, 2009 at Vaughan Regional Hospital. Services are scheduled for Sunday, June 27, 2009 at 3:00pm at Miller Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow at Lily Grove Cemetery under the direction of Miller Funeral Service.
Survivors include mother, Irene Stewart Smith; one son, Derek (Christal) Jefferson of Chesapeake, Virginia; five aunts, Louise Thomas, Belzora (Leroy) Sharpe, Mattie Donwell, Alice (Ulyses) Norris, and Leola Smith; uncles, Leroy (Helen) Stewart, Alonzo Stewart, and Doney (Eddie) Stewart; five sisters, Dorothy (Ned) Suttles, Betty (Clarence) Carter, Cora (Eddie) Murry, Linda (Ellis) Smith, and Gloria (Calvin) Byrd; three grandchildren; a host of nieces and nephews.
