The District 4 Dixie Boys 13-year-old and 14-year-old baseball tournaments will begin at 6 p.m. Friday at the Selma Softball Complex, Selma Parks and Recreation Executive Director Elton Reece announced Tuesday.

The Selma teams will play the opening tournament games Thursday.

In the Dixie Majors 17- to 18-year-old playoffs, Selma will take on Holtville for a best-of-three series beginning at 7 p.m. Friday at Bloch Park.

Selma’s 15- to 16-year-old all-star team advances to Thomasville for the South tournament July 10-12.

In the 13-year-old tournament, the bracket has Prattville vs. Selma at 6 p.m. Friday, Prattville vs. Millbrook at 6 p.m. Saturday, and Millbrook vs. Selma at 4 p.m. Sunday.

Selma takes on Holtville at 6 p.m. Friday in the 14-year-old tournament, followed by Millbrook vs. Selma at 6 p.m. Saturday, then Holtville vs. Millbrook at 4 p.m. Sunday.

If all three teams in each tournament have one loss each, a drawing will be held for the bye game at 7:30 p.m. Monday. The other two teams meet at 5 p.m. Monday, with the winner playing at 7:30 p.m.

If only two teams remain after Sunday’s games, they will play at 5 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. Sunday, if necessary.
