Gertrude P. Givner, 86, a resident of Selma, passed June 13, 2009. Funeral services are scheduled for 1 pm Monday June 22, 2009 from Grant Chapel AME Church with Pastor Marion Brock officiating. Burial will follow in Elmwood Cemetery with J. H. Williams &Sons Funeral Home directing. Survivors include a son George Givner, Jr.; sister Eloise Ward of Sacramento, CA; a brother Willie (Cora Bell) Phillips of Detroit, MI, plus a host of other relatives and friends.
