Joseph Daniel “J.D.” Ross, Sr., age 85, of Selma, AL, passed away June 14, 2009.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Faye Ross; brothers, Lonzo and Willie Ross and sisters, Barbara Ann and Betty Ann Ross.
Surviving are his wife, Angela Ross; sons, Larry Evard Ross, Joseph Daniel “Danny” (Lillie) Ross, Jr., John Farris Harper and Robert James (Bonita) Harper; daughter, Lucia Faye Harris; brothers, Charles Clayton (Janice) Ross, Fred W. (Lecil) Ross and Lewis Edward (Evelyn) Ross; sisters, Beula Walters, Ruth Ross Ray and Evelyn Ross; eight grandchildren and fourteen great-grandchildren and numerous great-great grandchildren. Graveside services will be Wednesday, June 17, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. in Pineview Memory Gardens with Rev. Rod Rochester officiating and Selma Funeral Home directing. Visitation will be Tuesday, June 16, 2009 from 6-8:00 p.m.
