RC Tarver , age 69, of Selma Al, died June 6, 2009 at his residence. Funeral services are scheduled for Saturday, June 13, 2009 at 12 noon at Sister Spring Missionary Baptist Church, 465 County Road 67, with Rev. Karl A. Lewis officiating. Mr. Tarver will lie in state from 11:00 am to 12 noon at the church. Burial will follow in the church cemetery with Lewis Brothers directing.
Survivors include a loving and devoted wife, Estella Willoughby Tarver; two loving children: Kenneth Tarver of Selma, Al and Sherron Tarver of Birmingham, Al; five grandchildren: Kendrick and Kendal Tarver of Selma, Al, Jamika and Shaquita Jenkins of Birmingham, Al, Kristen Isaac of Hampton, GA; one sister, Matte Tarver of Selma, Al; one brother, Pettus (Rosie) Tarver of Selma, AL; two brothers in-law: Thomas (Luvernia ) Willoughby of Selma, AL and Nathaniel (Mary) Willoughby of Birmingham, AL; and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
