Oscar Safford departed this life on June 2, 2009 at 1:00am at Vaughan Regional Medical Center, Selma, Alabama. Services are scheduled for Saturday, June 6, 2009 at 1:00pm at Miller Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in Elmwood Cemetery under the direction of Miller Funeral Service.
He was born in Selma, Alabama on December 13, 1950 to the late Johnny and Catherine Safford. He confessed Christ at an early age and joined Galilee Baptist Church.
To cherish and honor his memories he leaves a loving and devoted sister, Sarah Safford, one devoted brother, William Safford, both of Selma, AL; fourteen nieces and nephews, a host of great nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by three loving sisters, Mary Smiley, Taxanna Ross, and Dorothy Thomas; four brothers, Johnny L. Safford, Alex Safford, David Safford and Henry Safford.
