Mr. George Herrod, 86, of Selma, AL, died Wednesday, May 13, 2009 at DCH Hospital. Services are scheduled for Saturday, May 23, 2009 at 1:00pm at Hopewell Baptist, Marion, AL officiated by Rev. Clearthur Billingsley. Burial will follow in Hopewell Cemetery under the direction of Miller Funeral Service.
Survivors include two sons, George (Rita) Herrod and James (Betty) Herrod; two daughters, Pearlie Mae (Hardis) Jackson and Virginia Nell Foster; seventeen grandchildren; thirty-six great grandchildren; nine great-great grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.
