Jo D. Lange of Colorado City, CO, formerly of Selma, died May 10, 2009 in Pueblo, CO. Memorial Service is pending. Jo D. Smitherman was born in Bibb County, Alabama on April 14, 1923. Jo enjoyed traveling the world as an Air Force wife. She later settled in Denver, CO where she lived until recently. Jo was a loving mother and grandmother, a loyal friend to many, and an expert bridge player.
She is survived by children Bill (Judy) Lange of Dundee , MN and Naomi (Yonge) Simmons of Colorado City, CO, grandchildren Christian Lange, Jenny Carlin, Lange
Simmons, Joshua Simmons, and great-grandchildren Jacob and Natalie Carlin, sister-in-law Gail Smitherman of Selma, and brother-in-law Frank Phillips of Selma. Jo was preceded in death by her parents, her sister Nell Phillips, and her brother Gordon Smitherman.
