Lillian Towns Johnson, 96, of Dallas County died April 28, 2009 at Vaughan Regional Medical Center. Services are scheduled for Saturday, May 9, 2009 at 11:00am at Potter Place/Town Creek Ministry officiated by P.E. Bonner. Burial will follow in Towncreek Cemetery under the direction of Walker Mortuary.
Mrs. Johnson wore a badge of honor as a Christian Leader, a mother, and a foster parent to many boys and girls of the Dallas County Foster Parent Association. It was a blessing to her and a way of life for those in need.
Survivors include three sons, Frank Johnson of Pensacola, FL, Felix Daisy Moore, Jr. of Minneapolis, MN, and Tommie Julia Moore of Jamaica, NY; two devoted foster children, Charlie Fails of Selma, AL and Bobby Jackson of Birmingham, AL; two daughters, Jaunita Wilson, of Selma, AL and Mary Emma Griffin, of Pensacola, FL; twenty-nine grandchildren; fifty-five great grandchildren; two daughters-in-law; two sisters-in-law; two nephews; three nieces; and a very special niece, Helen Ratcleff, of Selma, AL. Active Pallbearers will be her grandsons, Eric, Rick, Alacastro, Earnest, Star, Mark, and Ken.
