Earnest Gordon Jr.

God smiled on Earnest and Ella Gordon on September 5, 1967 with a baby boy, Earnest Gordon, Jr. He was known to his family and friends as “Bogear.”
Earnest confessed Christ at an early age and was united with the Holiness Temple of the Church of Christ in Prayer.
He graduated from Selma High School with the Class of 1985. His hobbies were hunting and fishing. He never met a stranger and always had a free outgoing spirit.
He was united in Holy matrimony with Janie Church.
He was summoned into eternal rest on May 1, 2009. He departed from Vaughan Regional Medical Center. Services are scheduled for Saturday, May 9, 2009 at 1:00pm at Holiness Temple Church of Christ in Prayer officiated by Elder Reginald B. Wells. Burial will follow in Fairlawn Memory Gardens under the directed of Lewis Brothers Funeral Home.
His sister, Charlene Gordon preceded him in death.
Cherishing his memories will be his devoted wife, Janie Gordon; parents, Earnest, Sr. and Ella Gordon; two sons, Earnest, III and Richard; three daughters, Wanda, Annie, and Clara; one brother, Terry (Jennifer) Gordon; two sisters, Tracey and Alison Gordon, all of Selma, AL; four grandchildren, four aunts, six uncles, eight nieces and nephews, a devoted cousin, Tyrone Jemison and a host of relatives and friends.
