Melba Katherleen Holmes was born October 7, 1954. She departed this life April 19, 2009. She confessed her faith in Christ at Siloam Baptist Church in Orrville, Alabama. She leaves to cherish her memories a loving mother, Dorothy Holmes of Selma, AL; father, Ronald Johnson of Florida; a devoted companion, Roosevelt Wilson and their three children, Tanya Holmes, Shaun Holmes, and Dorothea Holmes, all of Cincinnati, OH; two grandchildren, Tyesha Holmes and Tyrell Holmes, both of Cincinnati, OH; one devoted sister, Shirley Gholston (Willie); two special nieces, Shequitta Fielding (Melvin) of Atlanta, GA and Shirlencia Gholston of Selma, AL; two aunts, Ola Nora of Birmingham, AL and Emma Holmes of Selma, AL; two special cousins, Ronnie Holmes of Cincinnati, OH and Bruce Holmes (Linda) of Montgomery, AL; and a host of relatives and friends. Miller Funeral Home will officiate burial arrangements.
