Glen Maurice Cooper “Big Daddy”, age 76, of Elmore, AL, passed away April 16, 2009.
He was preceded in death by his parents, J. A. and Marguerite Cooper; granddaughter, Jennifer L. Harrison and brother, Robert B. Coo-per.
Surviving are his wife, Dorothy M. Cooper; son, Mark Davis (Sissy) Cooper; daughter, Edith C. (Bo) Harrison; grandchildren, Renee Harrison, Matthew D. Cooper and Allyson (Michael) Dansby and great-grandchildren, Patrick Cooper Dansby and Crawford Thomas Dansby. Graveside services will be held Saturday, April 18, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. in New Live Oak Cemetery with Dr. Jim Graham of Coosada Baptist Church officiating and Selma Funeral Home directing. The family will receive friends at the funeral home prior to the service from 12:00- 1:30 p.m. Pallbearers will be Matthew Cooper, Michael Dansby, Don Carter, Mike Pollot, Daniel Young and Mervyn Welch. Honorary pallbearers will be the Journeymen Sunday School Class at Coosada Baptist Church. Flowers will be accepted or donations can be made in memory of Mr. Cooper to the Coosada Baptist Church Building Fund, 5687 Coosada Road, Coosada, AL 36020.
