Minnie Bell Griffin, 82, of Selma, AL died Sunday, March 29, 2009 at her residence. Services are scheduled for Saturday, April 4, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. at East Salem Church officiated by Rev. W. J. Brown. Burial will follow in the church cemetery under the direction of Miller Funeral Service.
Survivors include six sons, Henry (Ethel) Griffin of Chesepeake, VA, James Griffin of Sardis, AL, Clarence (Geneva) Griffin, of Roswell, GA, Lee E. Griffin, of Sardis, AL, Anthony Boyd of Selma, AL and Albert Griffin of New York, NY; six daughters, Shelly (Melvin) Ma-hand of Selma, AL, Loretta (Conell Sr.) Towns of Selma, AL, Margaret Washington, of Winter Haven, FL, Quinder Stanford of Orlando, FL, Betty (Charlie) Lawrence of Norfolk, VA and Mary Lawrence of Chesepeake, VA; one brother, Willie Washington of Selma, AL; two sisters, Lula B. Steen of Selma, AL and Bessie M. Brown of Cleveland, OH; thirty-three grandchildren; twenty great grandchildren; three sons-in-law; two daughters-in-law; six nieces and two nephews.
