Deacon Thomas Edwards, Jr., was born to Mrs. Cora Edwards and the late Thomas Edwards, Sr. on July 3, 1938 in Dallas County.
He departed this life on March 29, 2009, at his home.
Services will be held Saturday, April 4, 2009 at 1:00 p.m.. at New Morning Star Baptist Church, Marion Junction, AL. Visitation will be held at Friday, April 3, 2009 at Miller Funeral Service from 7 p.m. -8 p.m.
He leaves to cherish his memories a loving and devoted wife for 51 years, Mary Moten Edwards. To this union, five children were born: Waymon (Cora) Edwards, of Maryland; Gregory Edwards of Romolus MI; Norma Jean (William) Pearl of Atlanta, GA; Carol (Benjamin) Parker of Marion Junction, AL; Khalilah Melissa Akram of Atlanta, GA; his mother, Cora Edwards, of Jones, AL; and a brother-in-law whom he raised as his son from an early age, Glenn (Patricia) Moten of Selma, AL. He leaves sixteen grandchildren, ten great grandchildren, six brothers, and three sisters.
