Anna Blake, 84, of Selma, Alabama died Saturday, February 21, 2009 at Light House Nursing Home. Services are scheduled for Saturday, February 28, 2009 at 1:00 p.m. at New Shiloh Baptist Church officiated by Lewis Brothers Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Fairlawn Cemetery under the direction of Lewis Brothers Funeral Home Inc.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William H. Blake; her parents, Will and Lula Holloway; five brothers, Sammy Lee Holloway, Willie Holloway, Aaron Holloway, Daniel Holloway, and Paul Holloway; four sisters, Willie Evans, Mollie Alexander, Laura Underwood, and Mary Dickerson. Survivors include four sons, William (Paulette) Blake, Reginald (Eunice) Blake, Melvin (Thelma) Blake, and Calvin (Lena) Blake; two daughters, Marena Richardson and Patricia (Anthony) Thompson; and one sister, Maggie Sturdivant. Pallbearers will include friends, family, and deacons.
