Lois Manley Brown, a longtime resident of Mobile, formerly of York, Alabama died at a local hospital on Thursday, February 12, 2009, after a brief illness. Born March 25, 1925, Mrs. Brown is survived by her husband, Leroy Brown, daughter, Dale Brown Dawkins, and grandson, Gregory B. Dawkins. Other survivors include her sister, Norma Jean McCrory, of Selma, brother Robert Earl (Pete) Manley of Butler, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Graveside services and burial will be at York, Alabama City Cemetery at 2:00 p.m., February 14, 2009. Funeral arrangements made by Bumpers Funeral Home, York, Alabama.
