Minnie Mitchell, 60, of Selma, Alabama, died Tuesday, February 10, 2009 at UAB Hospital. Services are scheduled for Saturday, February 14, 2009 at 11:00am at Brien Chapel AME Church officiated by Rev. JoAnn Sharpe. Burial will follow in Home Aide Cemetery under the direction of Miller Funeral Service.
She is preceded in death by one brother, Clarence Mitchell Survivors include her husband, Andrew Blevins; two sons, Andrew Blevins, Jr. of Huntsville, Alabama and Michael Blevins of Tennessee; one daughter, Tina Blevins of Huntsville, Alabama; two brothers, LM (Della) Mitchell of Jones, Alabama and Thomas (Patricia) Mitchell of Fairfield, Alabama; three sisters, Catherine Curry of Perris, California, Betty (Rev. Willis) Nixon of Jones, Alabama, and Louise (Calvin) Edwards of Jones, Alabama; one sister-in-law, Annie Mitchell; a host of nieces and nephews; and two aunts, Lillie Woods and Arelia Wallace.
