Republican state Rep. Mary Sue McClurkin of Indian Springs has been named vice chairwoman of
Tim James’ campaign for governor.

McClurkin says she agreed to take a leadership role in James’ campaign because he is a successful entrepreneur with a conservative, no-nonsense outlook on government.

McClurkin served as Alabama co-chair of Mike Huckabee’s presidential campaign. The former Arkansas governor led Alabama’s Republican presidential primary last February.
