TUSCALOOSA | Bryan Galyon, age 46, of Tuscaloosa, died Feb. 7, 2009, at DCH Regional Medical Center. Services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at Circlewood Baptist Church with Dr. Herbert Thomas officiating. Burial will follow in Memory Hill Gardens with Heritage Chapel Funeral Home, a Dignity Memorial Provider, directing. Visitation will be today from 6 to 8 p.m. at the church. The body will lie in state one hour prior to services at the church.
His father Ted Galyon preceded him in death.
His survivors include his wife, Lisa Galyon of Tuscaloosa; daughters, Megan Lynn and Sheridan Danielle of Tuscaloosa; son, Bryan Reid of Tuscaloosa; brothers, Jeff Galyon (Gloria), and Jim Galyon both of Copperhill, Tenn.; brother-in-law, Stephen Morris (Frances), of Montgomery; mother, Jean Galyon of Selma; father &mother-in-law, Larry &Marger Morris of Selma; nieces and nephews, Jeffrey, Daniel, and Sarah Galyon all of Murfreesboro, Tenn., Mary Francis Morris, Drew Morris, and Coleman Morris all of Montgomery.
Bryan was a devoted husband of 24 years and father of three. Bryan was a paramedic for 28 years and devoted his life to caring for others. His dedication carried over into his personal life. He attended Circlewood Baptist Church where he was a very active member, enjoyed working with the youth of Circlewood and served as director of the bus ministry. Bryan enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He was a constant fixture on the sidelines of Alabama football and an avid supporter of the Crimson tide.
Pallbearers will be Stephen Morris, Edgar Calloway, Brad Hartsfield, Jeremy Burrage, Lewis Rager, Bill McDonald, Tim Nix, and Trent Hartsfield.
Honorary pall bearers will be Circlewood Baptist Church youth group, Jeff Galyon, Jim Galyon, and Jamie Camak Sunday school class.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Circlewood Baptist Youth and College Ministry.
