Deacon Hudson Strother Sr., 97, of Marion Junction, AL died January 26, 2009 at Vaughan Regional Hospital. Services are scheduled for Saturday, February 7, 2009 at 1:00pm at Shady Grove Baptist Church, Uniontown, AL officiated by Rev. William Reese. Burial will follow in Living Hope Cemetery, Uniontown, AL under the direction of Miller Funeral Service.
Survivors include sons, Office (Hattie) Strother of Conyers, GA, Lawrence (Gwendolyn) Strother of Bellwood, IL, Samuel (Nancy) Strother of College Park, Larry (Juanita) Strother of Atlanta, GA, and Jack Butler Jr. of Marietta, GA; daughters, Leanne Strother Watts of Browns, AL, Indiana Strother Clark of Birmingham, AL, Flora Strother-Feagins of Birmingham, AL, Catherine (Charles) Patterson of Marion Junction, AL, Elizabeth (Nathaniel) Mosley of Hampton, GA, and Pearlie (Jo) Strother-Adams, of Macomb, IL; fifty-one grandchildren, eighty-eight great grandchildren, twenty-two great-great grandchildren, a host of nieces and nephews, two great-great-great grandchildren, and other friends and relatives.
