Bama gets Tana Patrick

Alabama won the battle for a highly regarded linebacker recruit but lost several others on signing day.

North Jackson High School’s Tana Patrick picked the Crimson Tide over Auburn and Tennessee Wednesday morning.

The Tide’s top signees include offensive tackle D.J. Fluker of Foley and Andalusia linebacker Nico Johnson.

However, Alabama lost several targeted recruits on signing day.

Virginia offensive lineman Bobby Massie chose Mississippi, safety Darren Myles opted for Tennessee, and linebacker Barkevious Mingo picked LSU.

Coveted running back Trent Richardson, receiver Rueben Randle and cornerback Dre Kirkpatrick are set to announce their college choices in the afternoon.
