Bessie Lee Nichols Cobb, age 80, of Selma, died Saturday January 24, 2009. She was preceded in death by her husband, William Coolidge Cobb, son, Robert Wayne Cobb, father Archie Nichols, brothers; Alan Pugh, Roy Pugh, sister; Louise Stroud, Alice Hill, Velma Cobb and Bertha Banks. Survivors include her daughter, Shirley Cobb Ingram (Wiley), grandchildren; Larry Ingram (Kristie), Stan Ingram, Ty Cobb (Kathi), great-grandchildren; Chase Cobb, Meighan Cobb, sisters; Elma Hicks and JoAnn Mott. Graveside services were held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday January 27, 2009 at New Live Oak Cemetery with Reverend Robert Taylor officiating and Lawrence Brown-Service Funeral Home directing. Visitation was from 6-8 p.m. Monday January 26, 2009 at the funeral home. Pallbearers were George Denmark, Frank Rosser, Jerry Harris, Ty Cobb, Stan Ingram, Larry Ingram, Wayne Seekers, and Chester Lee.
