Emma Sturdivant Lewis, 84, of Selma, AL died January 14, 2009 at Park Place Nursing Home. Services are scheduled for Saturday, January 17, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. at Miller’s Funeral Home Chapel officiated by John E. Grayson. Burial will follow in Fairlawn under the direction of Miller Funeral Service.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Thomas and Classie Sturdivant; one brother, William Sturdivant; and one sister, Ophelia Sturdivant.
Survivors include spouse, Richmond James Lewis, Jr.; three sons, Richmond James Lewis III, William Thomas Lewis, and Vincent Arthur Warren Lewis; four daug-ters, Francesca Delores Lewis, Sarah Loretta Lewis, Emma Teresa Lewis Harris, and Christine Deloris Lewis; two sisters, Sara Sturdivant Lewis and Jessie Sturdivant; fifteen grandchildren; twelve great grand-children; and four sisters-in-law. Special friends include Dianne Bell, Roberta Tolbert, and Lillie L. Williams.
Pallbearers will be her grandsons, other family and friends.
