Beatrice Torrey, 58, of Selma, Alabama died Sunday, January 4, 2009 in Montgomery, Alabama. Services are scheduled for Saturday, January 10, 2009 at 1:00 PM at East Salem officiated by Rev. W. J. Brown. Burial will follow in the East Salem Baptist Church under the direction of Miller Funeral Service.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Nathaniel and Susie Torrey. Survivors include one daughter, Mary Elizabeth (Rufus) Thomas; one brother, Willie Hunter Torrey; four sisters, Mary (William) Minor, Devonne Torrey, Patricia A. Torrey, and Angela (Andrew) Smith; eight grandchildren, one son-in-law, two brothers-in-law, one sister-in-law, five nieces, six nephews, and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
