Ida Dorothy Brady Plummer, age 92, of Helena, AL died at home surrounded by family on Monday, January 5, 2009.
Ida is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Judy Plummer and Jim Robertson of Helena; granddaughters, Michelle Turner Aycock (Alan) of Hoover and Sheri Lane Robertson of Dallas, Texas; great granddaughter, Megan Renee Turner of Hoover; nieces, Emily Wigger Cook (Robert) and Jan Wigger Perry (Rogers) both of Fair-hope, and Joyce Brady Colburn (John) of Sprott; nephews, Jim Brady (Catherine) of Marion, Boyd Brady (Joni) of Auburn, William Merritt (Glenda) of Talladega and Ann Roberson (Rayburn) of Hephzibah, Georgia.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 59 years, Leo Boyd Plummer; parents James Bradley and Verna Estelle Ivey Brady; grandparents, James Brady and Ellen V. Taylor and John Thomas Ivey and Martha Elizabeth Bolling; brothers, Donald Goodwin Brady and James Elwyn Brady, Sr.; and sister, Martha Ellen Brady Wigger.
Services will be held at 11am, Thursday, January 8, at Faith Chapel Baptist Church, Highway 45, Marion, Alabama. The Rev. Lloyd Stockman will officiate and Kirk Funeral Homes Marion Chapel will direct. The family will receive friends prior to the service at Faith Chapel Baptist Church from 10am-11am. Immediately following the service, she will be laid to rest in Pine Crest Memorial Gardens, Industrial Drive, Marion, Alabama.
