Donald Darnell Jones, 48, of Atlanta, GA and formerly of Orrville, AL died Wednesday, December 3, 2008, at Vaughan Regional Medical Center, Selma, AL.
Services are scheduled for 11:00 am, Saturday, December 13th, at John the Baptist Church in Orrville, AL with the Rev. Clarence McElroy officiating. Burial will follow in Fulton Cemetery under the direction of Lewis Brother Funeral Home. He was preceded in death by his loving mother, Mrs. Mae Bess Jones; sister, Ms. Jacqueline Jones; three uncles; and five aunts.
Survivors include his son, Donald Jones Jr. of Baton Rouge, LA; two daughters, Laquitta Davis and Terrica Davis of Baton Rouge, LA; two grandchildren, Damiya Jones and Danyria Jones; father, Earnest Jones; three brothers, Bruce Jones and Terry Jones of Selma, AL, and Dwight Jones of Orrville, AL; five sisters, Joyce Moreland of Beloit, AL, Brenda Jones and Bernice Jones of Orrville, AL, Annette Johnson and Treaslyn Gloss of Selma, AL; two uncles include Eugene (Rosie) Hatcher of Orrville, and Johnny (Judy) Jones of Selma, AL; four aunts, Bernice (Clarence) Lewis of Orrville, AL , Ida (Lorenzo) Vaughan of Selma, AL, Lula Hatcher, and Willie Lee Courtland of Selma, AL; eighteen nephews, twelve nieces, eleven great nephews, ten great nieces, three brothers-in-law, and three sisters-in-law; and a host of cousins, other relatives, and friends.
Pallbearers will be his nephews and classmates.
