Rogers J. Rudolph, Jr., 77, a resident of Selma passed Dec. 1, 2008 at a Birmingham hospital. Funeral services are scheduled for Saturday, Dec. 6, 2008 at 12 noon from Mt. Ararat Missionary Baptist Church with Pastor L. L. Ruffin officiating. Burial will follow in Elmwood Cemetery with J. H. Williams &Sons Funeral Home directing. He was born May 14, 1931 to the late Rogers James Rudolph, Sr. and the late Julia Steele in Dallas County, Alabama.
Rogers was married to the late Tena Boykin Rudolph. One brother, Albert Charles Rudolph preceded him in death.
Survivors include two daughters; Donielle Rudolph of Selma and Sandra Rudolph of Birmingham, AL; two sons, Jerome Jackson of Vallejo, CA and Gregory (Darlene) Rudolph of Selma; two special granddaughters Arnisha and Maya Rudolph of Selma; Monica King, Huntsville, Al, Edward King and Kiera Russell of Selma, Kendra and Camra Jackson of Vallejo, CA; one uncle Jerry (Sallie) Rudolph, Detroit, MI; one aunt Gussie Steele of Selma; one brother-in-law James (Elnora) Boykin of Oklahoma City, OK; four sister-in-law Gustavia Boykin, Mary Ellen Boykin, and Ruth Rudolph Campbell all of Selma and Vera Boykin of Cincinnati, OH and host of other nieces, nephews and friends.
