Central Christian’s girls and boys teams take their respective shows on the road this weekend to Prattville Christian Academy’s basketball tournament.

The girls team plays first against Autauga Academy at 3:30 p.m. today. The contest provides the Warriors with a perfect opportunity to exact a little revenge after falling to the Generals in a 4-point loss on Tuesday.

“We could’ve played better. We’re going for revenge,” said girls coach Darrell Walker. “Prattville Christian (has) a new gym and we’d love to christen that new gym.”

The boys fared better against the Panthers in a 67-35 win on Tuesday, but will open with East Memorial Christian at 5 p.m.

“My kids are going to play hard,” said boys coach Carl Rawls. “We’re playing good ball right now. We’re getting there slowly.”

Due to AISA football playoffs, the tournament takes a break on Friday and will conclude on Saturday. The Warriors are the only Class A school in the tournament.
