Lily P. Ammons, age 85 of Selma, died Wednesday October 29, 2008. She is preceded in death by her parents J.L. Joe Copeland, Ada Lee Sanders Copeland, her husband L.B. Ammons Sr., two brothers and one sister. Survivors include her sons; L.B. Sonny Ammons (Lynda), Ron Ammons (Brenda), four grandchildren and two great- grandchildren.
Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday October 31,2008 in the Chapel of Lawrence Brown- Service Funeral home with Reverend John Ackerman officiating and Lawrence Funeral Home directing. Burial will follow at New Live Oak Cemetery. Visitation will be from 1:00-2:00 p.m. on Friday October 31, 2008 at the Funeral Home. Mrs. Ammons graduated from Wallace Community College as an LPN and dedicated many years of her life to private home health care. She was a great mother and will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
