Rosie Watkins, 70, of Dallas County, died Wednesday, October 8, 2008 at University Hospital in Birmingham, AL.
Funeral Services will be held Friday, October 17, 2008 at The Church of Christ In Prayer, 1604 Lawrence St., Selma, AL at 1:00 p.m. Body will lie in state at the church from 12:00 p.m. until 1:00. She leaves behind a husband, Leo Watkins, Sr.; one daughter, Linda Watkins Hunter; six sons, James Williams, McArthur Williams, Phillip Watkins, Jesse Watkins, Leo Watkins Jr., and Dexter Watkins; one adopted son, A. C. Mitchell; one daughter she raised, Jessica Lowe; twenty-one grandchildren;
Rosemary and Patricia Ervin. Special thanks to grandchildren Schamion, Dominique, Donald, Terrance, Hunter, VanNess Watkins, Linda Faye Williams-Cole, and McArthur Williams Jr.
