Mr. Jerry “Charlie Horse” Jones, 62, of Selma, died Saturday, September 27, 2008 at UAB Hospital. Services are scheduled for 1:30 pm, Saturday October 4, 2008 at Miller Funeral Service Chapel with the Rev. Sammie McDole officiating. Burial will follow in the Elmwood cemetery, under the direction of Miller Funeral Home.
Survivors includes two stepchildren, Eric Minter and Beauner Minter; two brothers, Alfred and Lonnie Jones; four Aunts, Ollie (Richard) Walker, Fannie Mae Cockrell, Bernice Purdie Davis all of Selma and Paula Dianne Cockrell of Birmingham; one uncle, Alfred Davis of Selma; eight nieces, nine nephews and friends and a special friend, Alice Minter.
