Sister Ethel Cockrell Tyler, 80, of Selma, AL died Wednesday, September 17, 2008 at Vaughan Regional Hospital.
Services are scheduled for 12:00 noon, Saturday, September 27 at Potters Place Town Creek Ministries with the Rev. Kirk Ellison officiating. Burial will follow in Fairlawn Memory Gardens under the direction of Miller Funeral Service. Survivors include two sons, Joseph (Shirley) Walton Jr. and Warren (Wanda) Tyler Jr., all of Selma, AL; four daughters, Barbara (Jesse) Anderson, Dorothy (Willie) Green, Helen Sampson, and Patricia Tyler, all of Selma, AL; brother, Lonnie (Betty) Cockrell of Lufkin, Texas; twenty-three grandchildren, twenty-eight great grandchildren, and a host of nieces and nephews. Two other children: Thomas (Lois) Smith and Mildred (Edward) Hall, both of Selma, AL Pallbearers will be Robert Taylor, Woody Jesse Anderson, Aldo Anderson, Joseph Walton Jr., and Warren Prichett.
