Mrs. Dorothy Culpepper Dickerson, age 94, formerly of Selma, AL passed away after a brief illness on Monday, September 15, 2008 in Smyrna, GA where she had lived with her daughter and son-in-law Janet Dickerson Smyly and Doug Smyly.
Graveside services will be held 11:00 A.M. Friday, September 19, 2008 at the New Live Oak Cemetery in Selma, AL with the Rev. Kenny Hatcher officiating.
She was preceded in death by her mother and father Ida and Charles Culpepper of Birmingham, AL and her husband, Arthur T. Dickerson. She is survived by her daughter &son-in-law, Janet Dickerson Smyly and Doug Smyly; granddaughter, Beverly Smyly of Smyrna, GA and grandson and granddaughter-in-law, Steven and Allison Smyly of Griffin, GA; 3 great grandchildren, Elizabeth, Sarah and Rebecca Smyly of Griffin, GA. Mrs. Dickerson had lived in Selma, AL since 1950 moving to Smyrna, GA in 2002.
