James Warren Moore, age 70 of Jones, died Friday September 4, 2008 at his home. Graveside services will be held on Sunday September 7, 2008 at 2:30 p.m. in the Pleasant Hill Baptist Church Cemetery in Prattville with Rev. Art Hartley officiating and Lawrence Brown-Service Funeral Home directing.
Mr. Moore is preceded in death by his parents, James E. and Frances E. Moore, a brother, Ralph E. Moore, and his mother-in-law and father-in-law, Roy and Grace Moncrief.
Mr. Moore is survived by his wife Carol Moore, his sons, Billy Moore (Anya) of Honolulu,HI, Derrell J. Moore (Dan) of Alpharetta, Ga, his daughters, Patti Moore Dumas (George) of Selma, and Lisa Moore Allen (Michael) of Autaugaville, eight grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren Mr. Moore is also survived by his brothers, Joe P. Moore (Dina) of Fitzpatrick, AL, John O. Moore (Diane) of Alexander City, AL, Victor G. Moore (Marie) of Virginia Beach, VA, and Melvin C. Moore (Betty) of Rome, GA, a sister, Dorothy Moore Findley (Ray) of Millbrook, AL, other relatives, Lila (Charles) Scott of Prattville, Sara (Willard) Hollon of Prattville, Gail (Larry) Achord of Tallassee, AL, and many nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Chris Ingram, Richard Long, Justin Barrett, Daniel Gregg, Cameron Gregg, and Malik McNeil. Honorary Pallbearers will be the members of Burnsville Volunteer Fire Department.
The family will receive friends on Saturday September 6, 2008 at the funeral home from 6-8 p.m.
