Thomas Rickey Patterson, age 59 of Christiana, TN passed away Monday, September 1, 2008 at Cookeville Regional Hospital. A native of Clanton, AL he had lived in Rutherford County for a number of years. He was an employee of Embraer of Nashville as an Avionics Technician and a veteran having served in the U S Navy from 1968 to 1972.
Mr. Patterson was preceded in death by his parents, Obie and Myrtis Mitchell Patterson and a daughter, Christie Lynn Oliver. He is survived by his wife, Velma Golson Patterson of Christiana; sister, Debra (David) England of Huntsville, AL; brother, Mickey (Donna) Patterson of Selma, AL; stepdaughter, Bernice Lane of Selma, AL; niece, Shelley Patterson of Selma; nephews, Heath Ammons of Huntsville, AL and Ronnie (Tammie) Ammons of Hartselle, AL and great nieces and nephews.
Funeral services for Mr. Patterson will be 2:00 p.m. Thursday, September 4, 2008 at Jennings and Ayers Chapel with Dr. Tony Long officiating. Burial will follow in Miller Cemetery in Christiana. Pallbearers will be Bill Adcock, Billy Belcher, Tom Teagardin, Robert Fisher, Bobby Dunn and Brian Voss.
