George C. Chapman passed away Saturday, August 30, 2008 at the age of 70.
Preceding George in death are his parents, Thomas B. and Eunice Chapman; brother, Gene Chapman and sister, Katie Jo Wansley.
George is survived by his son Aaron Chapman and his wife Melissa; daughter, Lisa Stewart; brother, Terry Chapman and wife Pat; grandchildren, Tolan Chapman, Zachary Stewart, Joanie Chapman and Arthur Stewart. His nieces and nephews, Rita Pugh and Anita Barnett, Ricky Wansley, Don Wansley, Steve Chapman, Sherry Summers, Susan Nichols and Danny Chapman, also survive him.
Visitation will be Wednesday, September 3, 2008 from 9:30 until 11:00 a.m. at Selma Funeral Home. Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel with Rev. Odean Johnson officiating. Following the service, the family will have a private family burial. Serving as pallbearers will be Obbie Morrow, Matthew Pugh, Michael Pugh, Jessie Harris, Mason Harris, Jerry Smith and Steve Chapman. Honorary pallbearers will be Ricky Wansley and Don Wansley.
