Deacon Lathaniel Watts was born April 10, 1925 in Moss Point, MS. After a brief illness, Lathaniel Watts made his transition on Thursday August 21, 2008. Funeral services will be held Saturday, August 30, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. at Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church. Pastor Joshua Davis, officiating. Burial will be at Pineview Memory Gardens under the direction of Lewis Brothers Funeral home.
He leaves to cherish his memory: Five daughters: Barbara Watts and Evelyn Jones of Selma, AL; Ruby (John) Strudwick of Lansing, MI; Patricia (Louis) Woodford of Oak Park, MI; Tena (Craig) Shelton of Ypsilanti, MI; Four sons: John (Ethel) DuBose and Jerome Watts of Selma, AL; Lethaniel (Melissa) of Alabaster, AL; Joseph (Namonia) DuBose of Greshom, OR; Grandchildren: Wanda Love, Felica Safford, Vonda (Kenneth) Wilmer, Willie DuBose, Kenny Strode, Michael (Marlene) Strode, Debbie (Robert) Ellis, Scipio DuBose, Jerome Watts Jr., Dennis (Mona) Strode, Roderic Watts, Amy Strode, Kwon DuBose, LaKeshia Richardson, Alan English, Marcus Woodford, Matthew Woodford, Rashard Watts; 21 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild; 4 sisters-in-laws, 5 brothers-in-laws. A special daughter Denise Grayson and Family and a host of nieces, nephews other relatives and friends. Lathaniel was preceded in death by his parents and all nine of his siblings.
