Bill Brackin, age 86, of Selma died Monday August 18, 2008. Services will be 11:00 a.m. Thursday, August 20, 2008 at First Baptist Church with Rev. Dayne Massey officiating and Lawrence Brown-Service directing. The family will receive friends on Thursday from 10-11 a.m. at the church. Mr. Brackin was preceded in death by his parents, William and Pearl Brackin; 1 brother, and 7 sisters. He is survived by his wife Ann Brackin, daughters Kathy Oliver, Pam Stewart and son Lane Brackin. Granddaughters, Jennifer May, Camille Deer, Meghan Stewart; Grandsons, Dayne Massey, Sam and Will Brackin; Great-grandsons Henley and Parker Hughes and great granddaughters Mary Peyton Deer, and Lydia Massey; two nieces, Mary Ann McKnight and Linda Waters; and one nephew, Sonny Mathis.
Honorary Pallbearers will be Ralph Derryberry, Elton Ralston, Ken Williamson, Charles Driver, John Miller, Quitman (Bill) Denson, Jr., and M.E. Summerlin.
